Terms of service
Last updated 19 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
PlaylistPulse is operated by Kilian Kramer, Friesischer Bogen 17, 24983 Handewitt, Germany (“PlaylistPulse”, “we”). These terms govern your use of the website playlistpulse.io, the app at app.playlistpulse.io and the landing pages at link.playlistpulse.io (together the “Service”). By creating an account you accept them. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you may bind that company.
“Consumer” means a natural person using the Service for purposes outside their trade or profession. Some sections apply only to consumers.
2. The service
PlaylistPulse records the follower counts of Spotify playlists you track, imports spend and results from your own Meta Ads account, tracks Spotify search positions for keywords you choose, and hosts landing pages for your playlists. The data is provided for your information; decisions you make based on it are yours. Which features are included depends on your plan, as shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old. Keep your login credentials confidential and tell us at support@playlistpulse.io if you suspect misuse. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is linked to one Spotify profile; on the Curator plan the tracked playlist can be changed once every seven days.
4. Plans, prices and billing
- Plans. Curator, Pro and Agency are paid subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly in advance, each starting with a 7-day free trial that is not charged if you cancel within it. The yearly plan costs less than ten monthly fees for twelve months.
- White Label add-on. White Label lets you remove the PlaylistPulse branding from your landing pages (a switch in Settings) and run them on a domain of your own; one domain is included, further domains are charged per domain. It is a separate subscription next to your plan, billed in the same currency and period, and can be added once the plan’s trial has ended. You can cancel it on its own in the billing portal; it ends automatically when your plan ends. A domain you connect must be yours or one you may use, and you keep its DNS settings correct; domains that are not set up within 30 days are removed. Without White Label, a connected domain forwards visitors to the page’s address on link.playlistpulse.io.
- Extra external playlists. On the Pro plan you can track more external playlists than the plan includes, charged per playlist. They are a separate subscription next to your plan, billed in the same currency and period, and can be added once the plan’s trial has ended. You change their number in Settings: more are charged pro rata at once, fewer are credited on your next invoice. You can cancel them on their own in the billing portal; they end when your plan ends or changes to another plan. When they end, the external playlists above the plan’s limit are paused, the most recently added first.
- Prices. Prices are in euro, or in US dollars for customers outside Europe, and include VAT where it applies. The VAT rate is the one of your country; businesses with a valid VAT ID in another EU country are billed without VAT under the reverse charge rule.
- Free trial. The first paid subscription of an account starts with a 7-day trial. You are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before. Trials are granted once per account.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. Payment is processed by Stripe; you need a valid payment method on file. If a payment fails we may restrict the paid features until it succeeds.
- Changes. You can switch plans or billing periods at any time in the billing portal (Settings → Billing). Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro rata; downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days’ notice by email. If you do not agree you can cancel before the new price applies.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time in the billing portal. The subscription then ends at the close of the period already paid for, and you keep access until then. Periods already started are not refunded, except where section 6 or the law requires it. After cancellation your account and its data stay, but the app is locked until you choose a plan again.
6. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer you may withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of starting it without giving reasons. To do so, send a clear statement (for example an email) to support@playlistpulse.io before the period ends. You may use the following wording: “I hereby withdraw from my PlaylistPulse subscription contract concluded on [date]. [Name, email address of the account, date].”
When you start a paid plan you ask us to provide the Service immediately, during the withdrawal period. If you withdraw, you pay for the part of the paid period already used, in proportion to the whole period, and we refund the rest within 14 days by the payment method you used. Nothing is owed for the free trial.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for playlists, ad accounts or Spotify profiles you are not entitled to manage;
- send artificial traffic, bots or fraudulent clicks to landing pages, or use them to collect visitor data beyond what the Service provides;
- scrape, copy, resell or sublicense the Service or its data, or reverse engineer it;
- interfere with the Service’s operation or security, or use it to break the terms of Spotify, Meta or any other platform;
- publish content on landing pages that is unlawful, misleading, infringing or offensive.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, after a warning where reasonable.
8. Spotify, Meta and other platforms
PlaylistPulse is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Spotify or Meta. Spotify, Facebook, Instagram and Meta are trademarks of their owners; we show their marks only to identify the services we connect to. Playlist data comes from the Spotify Web API, ad data from the Meta Marketing API on your authorisation. Their availability, accuracy and the way they can be used depend on those platforms and their terms, which you must comply with. If a platform changes or withdraws an interface, features that depend on it may change or stop working. We will tell you. Where a feature you pay for is lost for good, you may cancel to the end of the current billing period. Consumers may instead end the contract immediately and receive the unused part of a prepaid period back, as the law requires.
9. Your content and landing pages
Content you publish on landing pages (names, texts, artwork, links) remains yours. You grant us the right to host and display it as needed to provide the Service. You are responsible for having the rights to it and for any consent that your Meta pixel or other tracking requires from visitors. We may remove content that breaches section 7.
Customer reference. If you use the Service for a label, agency or artist brand, we may name you and show your logo or playlist artwork as a customer reference on playlistpulse.io and in our marketing materials. We will not quote you or describe your campaigns without asking first. You can object at any time by writing to support@playlistpulse.io; we remove the reference within 14 days.
10. Data, privacy and aggregated statistics
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. We may combine usage and performance data across all accounts into anonymised, aggregated statistics, for example average cost per follower by genre, to improve the Service and to publish benchmarks and reports. Such statistics never identify you, your playlists, your campaigns or your ad accounts.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep the Service available around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates and events outside our control (including outages at Spotify, Meta or our hosting providers) can interrupt it. Daily snapshots that fail for such reasons are not recovered retroactively. We may improve, change or discontinue features; if a change materially reduces what you pay for, section 8 applies accordingly.
12. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design and documentation belong to us or our licensors. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own playlists and ad accounts for the duration of your subscription. Feedback you give us may be used without restriction.
13. Liability
We are liable without limit for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of obligations that are essential to the contract (cardinal duties), and then only for the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of service. Any further liability is excluded. This does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
14. Term and termination
Paid subscriptions run for the period you chose and renew until cancelled (section 5). Free accounts run indefinitely; you can delete your account at any time by writing to support@playlistpulse.io. We may terminate the contract with 30 days’ notice to the end of a paid period, and without notice if you breach these terms materially or if a platform we depend on no longer permits the Service. On termination we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the Service, the law or our business changes. We will inform you by email at least 30 days before changes that affect you take effect. If you do not object before then, the new terms apply; if you object, each side may terminate the contract at the end of the current period. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
16. Governing law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer in another EU country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country remain unaffected. For businesses the courts of Flensburg, Germany, have exclusive jurisdiction. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
